BACKERS STALL AT ‘KAJEN’ 2021

As the owners of Måle Bagerbod Christina Miesl and Sven Haarder put it: “Spring is upon us, life in the city awakens anew and the joy of the people of Kerteminde kan be felt all over the dock. This year we’re leasing the stall at Fjord&Bælt, and from the cozy little house, we’re looking forward to bring summer joy to the people visiting. We’re looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere of the village, and adding to the well-being of the visitors of the summer town.”

The couple, known for their successful baker's shop at their house at Måle beach, fell in love with a unique little stall next to Fjord&Bælt - and felt it could be a perfect location for a new bakers stall. “We’d like to celebrate light, the ocean, spring, and summer, which follows. The atmosphere of the harbor now has another layer of uniqueness; This summer, in addition to foamy waves, ocean views, the sound of fishing boats, and the salty winds, there will be a beautiful smell of fresh-made bread in the air.”

The new baker's stall at the dock of Kerteminde has been decorated with the popular Tinekhome café and lounge furniture. To complete the look, beach sand has been laid out in front of the stall, to encourage visitors to take off their sandals and get in a beachy mood. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, supported by the interior design. Inside you’ll be served ice-cold beverages, and of course, the famous baked goods that made the shop at Måle beach so successful. We at Tine K Home started our weekend with a visit to the stall, and got to enjoy the atmosphere of the dock - and of course - the delicious smell of fresh bread.

 

“We celebrate the seasons, the berries, herbs, and the sun-ripened corn. We cater to many senses; the taste and smell, but also the eyes. We appreciate mindfulness and togetherness.

Though the 'crows have turned' (as we say in Denmark when something is very far away), the lapwings, the great tits, the harriers, and swallows remain (meaning that, though placed in the countryside, it's still a lovely spot filled with nature). The light is picturesque, the ocean breeze envigorating. Danmark at its peak, welcome!”
